And SOYB had came and gone! WHOA! First event of the year! Such a blast!!

I love SOY! Its always so crack and unpredictable! It really does have a ‘for the fans, by the fans’ feeling, which most commercial events now lack. I was a little worry at first cos the SOY comm. Manage to get big names like Shiseido to come in, but feel so much at ease once the event started.

Was rushing costume all the way until the start of the event! I finish all my sewing on Friday (had to appear offline on both MSN and SKYPE so I will work on costume and not talk to anyone. AH MY LIFE!) Had to complete the costume at the event itself as the head piece and waist chain can only be measured when I am wearing the wig/ costume. Much much love to Jing Jing for saikanging for me the whole day! *Hugs*I will never made it to the stage on time without you! Thank you soo much for being there and I LOVE YOUUUU!

Was so nervous at the competition that I was so sure I screwed up and will walk away empty handed (MY KINO VOUCHER!!!!!! AHHHH!!) So I was a little shocked that I did get 2nd at the end (CONGRATS TO DREFAN FOR GETTING FIRST!) Dusty and Lenne are soo cute as Tamaki and Haruhi! I love the chemistry they have! Its just fun to be on stage with both of them <3

After which went to meet up with Inu + gang for our Sandplay of the Dragon shoot! Sorry team I wasn’t around most of the time >.< I really had fun cosplaying with you guys! XD Looking forward to the shoot!

Okay, I guess that is it XD February is going to be busy for me too, I got 3 shoots going on during the CNY week! OMFG! GONNA DIE! And I have to start work on my Brisnova costume… Sheryl is like done, but need to work on day 1. May not be doing Momohime… because I am now in love with No more heroes XD OMG! ITS SOO EPIC COOL I WANT A WII TO PLAY IT NOW! I may end up cosing Bad Girl (#2 Assasin is a pyscho batting loli! HOW TO NOT LOVE?)

I seriously think I have no cosplay break this year. OTL!

It seems like just yesterday when I went into idle mode cos EOY was over… and now, SOYB is knocking at the doorstep.

Time really flies! Are you ready for the Tofuuuuuuuu?

I know I am NOT! whahaha, I actually screwed up on my costume! My skirt is suppose to be a 5 layer full circle skirt, fully lined with Tulle netting, but I accidentally used one of the panels to make my gloves! TOTALLY WIN RIGHT?! 0.0 Must be half asleep when I did that( or, I suspect, cos I was talking on the phone, GG!)

But anyway, manage to save it somewhat. Cos my skirt isn’t suppose to be a round skirt anyway, so used a new method to redesign it! The new method is actually easier, and the effect came out better and more accurate to the reference. This skirt is either gonna be OMG epic or OMFG BBQ YOU COSFUUUU. Pray mannn

Need to finish the last layer of the skirt, and make the blings on my costume! Also need to grab my wig to style and bling as well.

I notice I tend to overbling my gowns.. good or bad? whahaha~ I can’t help it! Its a post- TB symptom. Everything that CAN be bling WILL be bling. If it can’t, well, we’ll make it bling XD

Also need to be editing photos to post on dA. I got my Magnet shoot with Jing in CF, and the Pandora Heart Shoot with the great Aussie to edit! And also the ToshiieXMatsu one I had with Minh before he went home. GAAAHHH

Also have Diamond Crevasse shoot coming up (Like, finalllyyyy)

Maybe reshooting Magnet Luka too with Inuran, my original Miku. Inu you want to shoot? ^_^

Also need to start work on my April costume right after SOYB! Doing Momohime from Oboro Murasame at Brisnova. (HIYU MAKE SURE YOU DUN RUSH THIS ONE OUT LAST MINUTE AGAIN! WORK ON IT RIGHT AFTER SOYB! YOU GOT NO DANIEL TO HELP YOU WITH ARMOR THIS TIME! GAHH)

Also, gonna cos Sheryl again at Brisnova~ <3 I love Sheryl!

Really looking forward to the Australia trip this April, I can’t wait! 2010 is such an exciting year!

EOY IS OVER!

*Jumps around in happiness*

OMG! 2 MONTHS OF COSTUME RUSHING IS OVER! I CAN RELAX*abit* NOW!

We left for Comic Fiesta on 18 December this year, took the 6.30pm Aeroline bus from Habourfront to Sunway. Much crap ensured, when you lock us up in the same bus! lolOnly got to Summit hotel around 1am ish? But then we still had tons to do! Kie and Ariki still have stuff to work on for CFDay1, and Minh came over to work in his costume/ help Kie.  Jing and I didn’t have much to do, but don’t think any of us got to bed till 3am?

Early Saturday morning, got up early to meet Tim, my useless RO Guild leader of 8 years, who will be traveling to Singapore at 11am. Had a good time catching up him, and we ended our once a year meeting when he board the bus to go meet the rest of the guild in Singapore.

Then, it was a wait for my roommates,  to get over to Sunway so we can change in our new *and sooo much betttteerrrr* hotel room! Got ready and changed into Cosmos! Whahahah! Mummy of everything good! So together with Kie as Butz, Minh as Emperor, K as Kuja and Aly as Squall, we were the Dissidia team! Whahaha! GREAT TEAM I LOVE COSING WITH THE AUSSIES COS THEY ARE SOO EPICLY FUN!!

And we had A&W for dinner! Hhohohohoho

On Sunday, K did Raven, Aly did Break, Jill did Oz and Star did Vincent from Pandora Hearts! GAHHHHH OMG : K makes such a uke Raven that I cant help but stare!!! *falls in love* and Aly IS SUCH A COOL BREAK I DROOLED ON THE FLOOR! *hugs Jill for being the sweetest little Oz* I am also glad to meet Star too! Its great speaking to you that night! Unfortunately I wasn’t feeling well halfway through the event, so I went back to the room to rest T_T Missed out on a lot, but Jing’s call, Daniel ‘s smses, and Minh taking care of me made me good enough for Nandos that night! OMG CAN WE HAVE NANDOS IN SINGAPORE PLEASE I LOVE NANDOS I WANT NANDOS AGAIN NOWWWWWW

We slack most of Monday morning in the room, everyone was too tired (and drunk,cough) to do anything. Shopped around Sunway with Jing  in the afternoon, and man that mall is too huge! Its like Vivo or something! Never realize this last year as we were shopping in sungei wang. Then dearest Masako sempai brought us out for bak kut teh dinner! OMG ITS SOO YUMMY!

And after that we had 3-layered tea at Asia Café, which is really Diabetes in a Cup! Its 1/3 GULA MELAKA, 1/3 EVAPORATED MILK AND 1/3 TEA! HOW COOOL IS THAT?! <3 must make in Singapore! Then we went to an internet café where Twinnie Rikachu, Masako, Daniel and Minh played L4D2 while Jing and I get connected to the internet and the rest of the world *INTERNET I LOVE YOOUUU*  Then Jing and I left earlier as we need to go back and prepare for our Magnet shoot, with Kaasan Nevar as our photographers *OMG SHE IS QUEEN OF PRON SHOOT MANNN* Didn’t turn out very pornly as Jing and I can’t pull it off >.< We are only Ikan bilis level sooo sorry!! Daniel came back to shoot for us too, and we crashed the guy’s room to use the bed to shoot, LOL~

Tuesday is shopping at sungei wang and time square! Went crazy at isocks for a while, and was shopping like crazy in the first hour before my shopping level die down and I became more normal Hiyu. Lol! Went to Sungei wang next and we broke into smaller groups to shop, then meet up again for dinner at Secret Recipe. Then some people went to play L4D2 again and I went to prepare for Pandora Hearts shoot with K, Aly and Jill, and have Nevar, Daniel as our photographers again. Great photos followed by crack ensures XD

Wednesday, we took the 11am bus back to Singapore, had dinner at pasta mania and went home~

And yesterday was EOY, where Minh , Rirowa and me formed the MAEDA FAMILY+ 1 (with boyboy as Date, ahhahahaha!!) BASARAAAA!!!!!!!!RIRI IS SUCH A GOOOD LOOKING KENJI I FANGIRL MY NEWPHEWWW!! Boyboy’s Date is hot! I LOVE THE KATANAS!  Minh ‘s Toshiie broke my mind *needs to uhu glue back brain*. Had V8 for dinner and went to Rikachu’s house to slack a bit before cabbing back with Nevar

And now, I can ressstttt!!! *falls onto bed* Shoot on Saturday, SOYB to prepare, but that can all wait

I can’t believe it! Malaysia tomorrow!!! OMG!!

Finish most of my costume already! Just waiting for Xiaocat darling to pass me my Cosmos accessories and need to go Chinatown later in the day to grab extra material for Matsu, and I am done! Yes! Sharon is 100% done!

Went to the airport yesterday to pick up Minh, and finally get to meet Aly and K! The Aussie cosers are all sooo hyper and fun! They totally bring the energy level of the group up! *jumps ard* Must be genki to catch up with their extremeeeeee genkinessssss!!

After pulling like 4 nights of SUPER EARLY LIKE 3AM ISH nights, I am happy to say it was all worth it. I had to work on Monday and Tuesday, but wasn’t so bad, is not THAT zombified when I went in. And now, I am on leave alllllll the way till Jan 4! <3 So I went to bed at 4ish and 5 ish on the first 2 nights of my leave.

Need to go get more material. Feeling lazy but must doooo!!!

So, anyway, will be in Malaysia from 18th-23rd. Hope I can bring lots of CF pics back!

AFA 09 IS COMING!

Have you finish your prep work for the event? XD Minna, ganbatteeee!!

Hiyu has to finish everything by Thursday! My Friday night will be stress-free, I swear! Because if I fail… I need to eat a box of strawberries… puiz!

So far everything looks good. Spent my weekend on cosplay related stuff (Kie came over to my place to help me style my Luka wig, and I went over to Inu’s place to finish up Magnet)

My progress so far:

Afa Day 1: (Megurine Luka- Vocaloid, Magnet) – 90% done!
Afa Day 2: (Cagalli Yula Atha- Gundam Seed, Orb Princess) -100% done *reusing VERY old costume XD*

All I need to do is to make the head band, modify a pair of gloves, and prinit this stupid sticker and I am done!

I WILL GET A GOOD NIGHT SLP ON FRIDAY!

Will be at the event hall early on day one (like, 12.30pm ish?! hahah) Hope to see minna there!

WHAT A WEEKEND!

Cant decide if I have a social life or not man! hahaha~

Saturday
Finally went to buy cloth for my Basara cosplay at EOY. I hate the stupid salmon pink! Its sooo hard to get a colour that I can live with. If I find a good colour, the material is WRONG! *pulls hair* I spent almost 2 weeks to find the cloth I purchased!

And then I realise what an ass Matsu will be. HER OBI HAS 5 COLOURS! And its all just a strip of cloth… So I need to go back to cloth shop one day to buy 5×0.5m of cloth just to make that obi! *staress* and armorr… I fail at doing armor! Hopefully this idea I have will work.. Or.. *stares at propmaster* SAVE MEE

But it wasn’t so bad, cos I got sweet Ariki with me throughout the whole cloth buying process. After that, we head down to Vivo to meet up with Kie and Elmo for movie!

Not one but TWO! We decided to watch two movies that day! whahahaha~ *butt is flat*

Started with Coraline. Never read the book, but someoneee has been nagging at how awesome it is, so I guess I can trust that person’s taste =P We have been waiting for this movie for sometime now, it got delay like, twice if I remember correctly. The animation is really good! And the story keeps you on the seat throughout! Watch it in 3D if you can! Its really awesome!

After dinner, Dandan joined us and we went for This is it. I felt great after this, because it feels like I only paid $10 to see a MJ concert. You also see MJ reherseing, and guiding the vocals and dancers throughout the concert.  The making of Thriller was epic! I love They don’t really care about us! Of course, there was the song that got me to love MJ in the first place: Black or White, which he allow his super cool female lead guitarist, Orianthi, to take center stage! THAT WOMAN IS EPICLY COOL!  I almost screamed when he did Billie Jean. I knew it was going to be Billie Jean when he was talking about the lighting and how he wanted it to be. I really sat the end of my seat and wait in aticipantion for the song.  And there was Man in the Mirror.. I really couldn’t explain what I felt when after the whole thing, I felt like I have been to an incrediable concert, only to realise that the man will never perform again..

Sunday

My Sunday was spent in front of my computer, CUTTING THE STUPID BUTTERFLY FOR MAGNET! GAAH! Okay, my fault. I never expected it to be this much pain. Afterall, it all looks so simple on paper: Cut 4x pattern. I forgot to mention that there are freaking 30 holes per piece, and some are so small I wonder how the hell and I gonna cut. Only manage to finish 3 yesterday. I suspect is cos I was on Skype most of the time. Will finish the last one tonight, then spent the next few days making them pretty *Rolls*

OMG, AFA is coming.. I haven finish it! SHIT SHIT SHIT! *goes in panic mode*

I WISH I CAN STAY AT HOME AND MAKE COSTUME! I WISH I HAVE 5 WEEKS TO STAY AT HOME TO MAKE AFA,CF, AND EOY STUFF!

I know how I am gonna spent most of my weekend till EOY now.. GAH HIYUKI WHY DIDNT YOU START SOONER?! *bang head*
